Financial aid
Students applying for financial aid to attend the IScAI 2012 can request:
- Funds to cover (total or partially) the cost of the registration fees.
- Funds to cover travel expenses. In this case, the IScAI organization will provide help with the ticket reservations for travelling to La Laguna, Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain).
- Funds to cover accommodation and living expenses.
Those applicants requiring support to attend the School must fill the corresponding section in the application form and must upload the letters needed from their company or scientific institution:
- One of the letters must justify the lack of financial support from the company or scientific institution to cover the registration fee of the IScAI.
- The second letter should specify the current financial status of the applicant, that is, the type and amount of support that the prospective student is receiving from the company or scientific institution (e.g., through contracts, fellowships, grants, etc.) and whether such support is compatible with the requested financial aid to attend the IScAI.
- Please note that funds are very limited and will be allocated depending on qualifications and needs.
Students who successfully complete the IScAI 2012 courses may be offered the possibility of carrying out a laboratory internship in which case they will be able to apply for financial support. Funds could be available for:
- Covering travel expenses to and from the internship centre. In this case the IScAI organization will provide help with the ticket reservations for travelling to the institution or company hosting the student.
- Covering accommodation and living expenses during the internship period.
